Rabbit Masterpiece #7

Rabbitfying a Jackson Pollock's drawing proved to be darn difficult. So, for the time being, I decide to rabbitfy a photo of him working on a painting. Enjoy!

Rabbit Masterpiece #7

It's Pop Art time! I love this art genre. The colors, the mediums, and the ideas behind the work are just some of the things the makes this genre so appealing to me.

I chose the artist Andy Warhol as he is one of the most well known pop art artists. I had a hard time deciding which Andy Warhol piece of work I wanted to rabbitfy and, eventually, I chose the classic Marilyn Monroe.

Roy Lichenstein, you're next!

I had so much fun recreating his piece and playing around with the colors that I ended up creating several different versions. Which one is your favorite? :)

Rabbit Masterpiece #5

My latest piece was inspired by an adorable blue dog. This blue dog is the creation of George Rodrigue who is known for his Blue Dog series. The picture that I replicated is called Blue Dog on the River.

Rabbit Masterpiece #4

I do not know if you can tell, but I had a LOT of fun creating this piece. Out of all of the art pieces that I have worked on so far, this one took the longest. However, the work that was put into this piece was definitely worth it.

This piece is a recreation of one of the Dogs Playing Poker series by Cassius Marcellus Coolidge.

Rabbit Masterpiece #3

Today's Rabbit Masterpiece was influenced by Edward Munch's Scream

This is one of my favorite pieces. I had so much fun working on it. I loved studying the colors, the composition, the lines, and the emotion of the piece.

Rabbit Masterpiece #2

This is one of my favorite pieces of work that I made. It was simple, easy, and just fun to make. I love the simple lines and bold colors.

This painting was inspired by Piet Mondrian.

Rabbit Masterpiece #1

Around this time last year I developed this creative urge to take famous paintings and "rabbitfy" them. I'm not entirely certain why I decided to do this. All I knew was that I was having fun with this project. A year in and I have created 9 Rabbit Masterpieces.

This was my second masterpiece that I created. I am still working on the first one.

I decided to "rabbify" the well known painting, Arrangement in Grey and Black: The Artist's Mother, also famously known as Whistler's Mother by James Abbot McNeill Whistler.

Welcome!

This is my first official post on my brand-spanking new blog! Yay!!

Over the years, I've developed and ran several websites. Last year I created, designed, and ran Educating Mrs. Teacher,  a webcomic site-- which had quite a few followers. :) Unfortunately, like all of my other projects, life got in the way and the website began to whither and die a slow death (crap, that reminds me I need to go water my plants; my basil plant already died a pretty torturous death a few weeks ago...).

So, this blog is going to showcase, primarily, my weird art and comics. I will also bring back my favorite teacher comics that seemed to also be a favorite among my fans.

So, stay tuned. :)

And welcome to Down the Rabbit Hole!
